David Seaman projects the result of Liverpool’s Sunday Premier League matchup with Brentford.
According to David Seaman, Liverpool will win big on Sunday after two poor outings.
The Reds’ performance in the Europa League Thursday night was even worse than their miserable 1-1 draw with Luton Town last weekend. They currently play Brentford at Anfield following a 3-2 loss to Toulouse.
Liverpool is once again the clear frontrunner on paper. And speaking on his Seaman Says podcast, the former England goalkeeper has backed Jurgen Klopp’s side to get a comfortable victory.
Seaman responded, “I’ll go 3-0,” when asked to guess the outcome.
Given that Brentford is now ranked ninth and has won three straight games, we doubt it will be all that easy. We will accept it, though.
Seaman believes Liverpool will win big.
Liverpool will be relieved to be back at Anfield this weekend after two dismal away displays.
The Reds remain formidable at home despite their relative difficulties away from it. Their most recent Premier League loss on Merseyside occurred more than a year ago.
They face a formidable Bees squad on Sunday, so they can’t sit back and relax, but you would anticipate that record to be extended.
Liverpool must exercise caution, though. As last night’s game shown, Klopp still has some issues to resolve, the most pressing of them being who will start at left defence.
Concerns about who starts in midfield are also a little bit present. Liverpool is down to their skeleton with Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch injured and Alexis Mac Allister suspended.
Wataru Endo demonstrated against Toulouse that his play is still far behind what is anticipated of a midfield player for Liverpool. However, he will need to return to this place.
Given how easily Brentford defeated them in London the previous season, that might make some fans anxious.
We don’t think many fans will be anticipating as simple a victory as Seaman is, given that and the results of the last few performances.
Nevertheless, Liverpool should win if the strikers play well and some important players return. I hope so.
