*BREAKING: Raiders vs Bills Postponed From October 18 – New Date Announced*
The NFL has officially postponed the highly anticipated Las Vegas Raiders vs Buffalo Bills matchup originally scheduled for Sunday, October 18 at Allegiant Stadium.
According to a joint statement released Thursday evening by NFL League Operations and Allegiant Stadium management, the Week 6 AFC clash will not go ahead as planned due to unforeseen technical and safety complications at the stadium.
League officials cited a major power grid failure across the Paradise district following severe windstorms in Southern Nevada. The failure triggered rolling blackouts and damaged internal backup systems at Allegiant Stadium, forcing venue engineers to shut down portions of the lighting and air conditioning infrastructure for emergency repairs.
“The safety of our fans, players, and staff is non-negotiable,” the NFL said in a statement. “After consultation with Clark County Fire, LVMPD, and NV Energy, we have agreed that it is in the best interest of all parties to postpone Sunday’s game and allow utility crews a full operational window to restore the facility to 100% capacity.”
The Bills, who are coming off a thrilling 37-34 overtime win against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, had already arrived in Las Vegas for preparation. Josh Allen and the team will now remain in temporary practice facilities until further notice.
The Raiders organization has confirmed that all tickets for October 18 will be automatically valid for the rescheduled date, which is expected to be announced within 48 hours. Fans unable to attend the new date will be offered a full refund.
Parking passes and suite reservations will also roll over.
Both teams will now have an extended Week 6, with the league considering moving the game to Monday, October 19 or Tuesday, October 20 as a standalone national window.
