The reason Andre decided to join with Liverpool and reject other offers was to stop lying.
Andre Trindade is a top priority for Liverpool as they bolster their roster during the winter transfer window. The Reds were already interested in the young Brazilian since last summer, but Fluminense was unwilling to let him go because of his significance to their Copa Libertadores campaign.
Given that the Brazilian team is now playing Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores final, the weather has supported their decision. But as the Daily Mirror noted, it appears like Andre Trindade will sign with Liverpool in January, achieving German manager Jurgen Klopp’s stated goal of strengthening a midfield that has already seen multiple significant additions this summer.
It’s unclear how much Liverpool will pay for the young South American talent as he starts his career in Europe, but the 22-year-old defensive midfielder has been a top target for the English team for some time. Because of his defensive prowess, he became one of Liverpool’s first winter additions.
Fulham’s proposal
Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade claims that Fulham has entered the competition to recruit the 22-year-old midfield player from Brazil and is prepared to match Liverpool’s offer. He did note, though, that the player’s desire to play for a top side is currently the Reds’ first priority.
