Danny Murphy said that Jude Bellingham’s transfer to Real Madrid this season is just as thrilling as Liverpool’s acquisition of Dominik Szoboszlai
The pundit stated on The Take One that Liverpool spent £60 million to bring Szoboszlai to England through RB Leipzig, and that since then, the 23-year-old midfielder has taken the Premier League by storm.
While Szoboszlai has been an exciting acquisition to Liverpool and has transformed Jurgen Klopp’s team, Bellingham has been playing at a higher level for Madrid.
Murphy believes that Szoboszlai has been an interesting addition to Liverpool this season, even though drawing comparisons between him and Bellingham may be a bit much.
Murphy stated: “I think we would be talking a bit more about Szoboszlai if it weren’t for Jude Bellingham doing what he’s doing.” I am suggesting that he has made a great start, looking fantastic.
And while he is being recognised, Bellingham is the centre of attention because he left Earth to see another planet. And we talk about Bellingham a lot, even though I know he’s in a different level. Now that Szoboszlai is here, he has everything. He is a threat, has strong feet, and is effective at defending.
After Bellingham’s blow, Liverpool did well to sign Szoboszlai
Few Liverpool supporters believed the Reds could find a player as good as the England international on the market as a replacement after it was revealed that Bellingham would not be joining the team.
But Szoboszlai has delivered more than that, as the youngster player has defied predictions and appears to be a Liverpool superstar in the making.
Although Szoboszlai’s primary statistics haven’t been as remarkable as Bellingham’s, there’s no doubting that the Hungarian has been a steal, and Liverpool supporters will want to watch the Hungarian soar in the upcoming months.
