Dominik Szoboszlai hailed as ‘superstar’ after Liverpool transfer. Barnsley star Callum Styles has praised his international team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai, calling the Liverpool man a ‘superstar’. Liverpool have an absolute superstar on their hands after signing Dominik Szoboszlai this summer. That is the view of Barnsley ace Callum Styles, who spoke to Sky Sports about Szoboszlai. This seems quite random; Styles is originally from Bury, started his career at Burnley, then moved to Bury, Barnsley and Millwall. There is a connection here, however, in that Styles has committed to play for Hungary in 2022, qualifying through his grandparents. That means Styles and Szoboszlai are international teammates, and the Barnsley ace has heaped praise on the Liverpool star… Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai hailed Styles has now told Sky Sports that he loves playing alongside Szoboszlai for Hungary.Liverpool pounced to sign Szoboszlai in a £60million move over the summer and he has been taking Anfield by storm.Styles feels that Szoboszlai is just an absolute ‘superstar’, admitting that playing with him is just an ‘unbelievable’ experience.Styles added that Szoboszlai has ‘got that different ability’ and believes the Liverpool star knows it.The hope is that Hungary can secure qualification for Euro 2024, with Styles believing that ‘top player’ Szoboszlai can play a big role.
“Any experience is a good life experience and if you do it well, you learn from those experiences and you adapt,” Szoboszlai said.
“It takes time, but putting things together piece by piece can only develop you as a player on and off the field.
Playing with Dominik Szoboszlai was a great experience and I love playing with players of his caliber.
“He’s just a superstar.
You just know he has this different ability – and he knows he has it too, which is even better.
He’s a top player and I feel we have a really good team.
It’s great to win games and hopefully get to the Euros.
That would be great,” he added. Szoboszlai is ideal to sign for Liverpool We are used to it with seeing a quite professional Liverpool midfielder under Jurgen Klopp.
Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum make up the most recognizable midfield trio of recent years, with no clear creative players in the trio.
Liverpool have taken a different path following the departure of Philippe Coutinho and Szoboszlai feels the Red Devils have finally added another playmaker.
Szoboszlai proved this opinion correct; Only Bruno Fernandes, Kieran Trippier and James Maddison have scored more key passes in the Premier League this season.
The 23-year-old also handles the ball very well and is not afraid of getting stuck.
Szoboszlai is certainly not a luxury player and his combination of creativity on and off the ball at this pace makes him an ideal addition to Liverpool’s midfield.
