Mateusz Musialowski’s growth has been praised by Barry Lewtas, the youth coach at Liverpool, after the young player shone last night for the Reds’ U-21 squad.
The U-21s head coach was all praise for the Polish young international, who scored a thunderbolt against AFC Barrow in a 2-1 EFL Trophy loss, in an interview with the club’s official website.
Following his arrival at Liverpool in 2020, Musialowski has emerged as one of the team’s most highly regarded prospects, and the 20-year-old will soon make his senior debut.
Additionally, Lewtas was pleased with Musialowski’s growth over the past year, praising the winger’s increased consistency.
Lewtas remarked, “I’ve said previously that his commitment has been a major change, not just to his individual game but the team as well. He’s added more consistency, not that he was doing anything particularly wrong.
He’s become a little older and has played more games. Although the goal was incredible, he now contributes more to games generally rather than only in certain situations. I felt that he performed well today.
Musialowski merits an opportunity to play in Liverpool’s senior squadÂ

Musialowski is undoubtedly a talented player, and because Liverpool is almost guaranteed a spot in the next round of the UEFA Europa League, the forward might be ready for a promotion to the starting lineup.
Luke Chambers and Ben Doak are just two examples of the young players Jurgen Klopp has given the chance to prove this season in Europe that they are willing to learn.
And with the Polish wonderkid poised for the next phase of his career, Musialowski may be the next youngster to go from the academy to the senior team through the Europa League.
