Superstar Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat did not come off the bench in the fourth quarter, even though the Heat made a late charge.

The Milwaukee Bucks led by 25 points in the fourth quarter and looked to be on their way to a resounding victory over the Miami Heat.
Miami, though, mounted a late rally to cut the deficit to eight points in the final minutes of play. Jimmy Butler, a superstar for the Heat, sat on the bench during this time. Due to a hip injury, center Bam Adebayo was also unavailable for the Heat.
Coach Erik Spoelstra explained Butler’s decision to stay on the sidelines following the close loss.
Those men merited that. I am aware that there will inevitably be a discussion about that,” Spoelstra remarked. “Are your guys back in now? It was still a lead of double digits. At that point, everyone had become extremely calm.
The first quarter saw the Heat take a five-point lead, which was their largest of the game. After a quick start, Butler calmed down and ended the game with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Guard Tyler Herro flourished in the last minutes with Adebayo and Butler off the court. Using 57.1 percent shooting, he finished the game with 35 points and eight rebounds.
The Heat’s third consecutive road defeat drops them to 1-3 on the season. They won’t be able to repeat their incredible postseason performance from the previous campaign, especially with Gabe Vincent and Max Strus departing in free agency.
