DB commit reclassified for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Georgia Bulldogs defensive back commitment of four stars Dominick Kelly is now a member of the class of 2025 instead of 2026. Since July, Kelly has been dedicated to Georgia. Kelly, who plays football at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is described as 6′ 1″ and 175 pounds. According to 247Sports, Kelly is the No. 35 player in Florida and the No. 32 cornerback in the country.
Following his decision to reclassify, Kelly’s recruitment is a story to follow as early signing day approaches. Prior to switching to Georgia during the summer, Kelly had a commitment to USC. Georgia will have 25 commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle thanks to the reclassification of the four-star cornerback. The Bulldogs are hoping to make an impact in the coming weeks, but Georgia has the second-best recruiting class in the country, behind Ohio State. Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry is one of Georgia’s final targets.
Kelly is only the second 2025 cornerback committed by Georgia. One of UGA’s most critical positions is cornerback. Georgia’s class of 2026, which already only has three commitments—wide receiver Vance Spafford, cornerback Jontavius Wyman, and tight end Lincoln Keyes—is without Kelly.
