Giants OT sends clear challenge to Steelers star T.J. Watt: ‘I want to be on on an island’

T.J. Watt is the straw that stirs the drink for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ pass rush, but Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor is not intimidated by Watt. Eluemunor has faced Watt three times before and has experience against him, but in this game, he hopes to confidently embrace the challenge.
In fact, Eluemunor, who is questionable to play with a groin injury, said that he would love to be left on an island with Watt without any help to his side.
“I’m the most confident guy in this locker room,” Eluemunor said. “I think you can see this through my play this year. I want to be on an island with him all day.”
After the Giants lost starting left tackle Andrew Thomas for the season with a severe foot injury, Eluemunor has been left on an island in recent weeks. With an inexperienced left tackle, that is what has happened, but with Watt seeing so many chips as he does throughout his career, it seems unlikely that will happen this week.
If it does, however, the Steelers should see Watt significantly impact the game. He had two sacks against Eluemunor last season when they faced off and Watt is due for a big game.
