New York Giants offensive tackle Jeremaine Eluemunor is dealing with a groin injury and could miss Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Eluemunor is the other starting offensive tackle for the Giants, who are already missing star offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who suffered a season-ending foot injury.
Eluemunor is the starting right tackle and would be primed to face T.J. Watt if he played in the game. Giants head coach Brian Daboll said the team would see if Eluemunor could go, but there was a big question about whether he could play.
If Eluemunor can not play, former first-round pick Evan Neal would step in at right tackle. Neal has struggled mightily in his career. Eluemunor will not practice on Friday as the team tries to get clarity on his status.
The other options for the Giants are newly-signed veteran and former Steelers offensive tackle Chris Hubbard and Josh Ezeudu, who is more a guard than a tackle. So, the Giants will have to figure out how that will look, but either way, the Steelers’ front four is set to have a big game against an ailing Giants offensive line.
