Pittsburgh Steelers Ruled Out Four Players, three others questionable vs. Cowboys
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out running backs Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Patterson, tight end MyCole Pruitt, and outside linebacker Alex Highsmith.
With Warren and Patterson out, the Steelers will turn to Aaron Shampklin and practice squad running Jonathan Ward as candidates to replace both in the depth chart. Meanwhile, Najee Harris will continue to start.
On top of those out, outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, and quarterback Russell Wilson are all questionable. Moon would have to be activated off injured reserve to play after missing the first four games with an ankle injury. Pittsburgh has one open roster spot.
Ogunjobi popped up as a mid-week surprise on the injury report. He was limited the last two days, and this would be his first missed game of the season if he was out for this game against the Cowboys.
Outside linebacker Nick Herbig and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton had injury scares against the Indianapolis Colts but are okay and will play. Meanwhile, the big return for the Steelers will be left guard Isaac Seumalo. His pec injury forced him to miss the last four games, but Seumalo now returns when the Steelers needed him badly on the interior of their offensive line.
