Steelers planning to start QB RUSSELL WILSON and not Justin Fields vs. Colts due to …
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0 for the second time since 2010, and the contributions they have gotten from Justin Fields at quarterback elevated them in Week 3. While it may be less and less surprising by the week, head coach Mike Tomlin says the intention will be to start Fields in their Week 4 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
Tomlin said that the situation of Russell Wilson is very similar to last week and that he will be limited in practice but added if his participation picks up later in the week, Pittsburgh will begin discussing what to do at quarterback going forward.
Through three weeks, Fields has thrown for 518 yards and thrown for two touchdowns while adding another on the ground. He has a passer rating of 95.3, is second in the NFL in CPOE (Completion Percentage Over Expected).
