As the 2025 college football season approaches, Texas A\&M head coach Mike Elko is setting a confident tone for the Aggies. Speaking with reporters during media days this week, Elko delivered a clear message: Texas A\&M isn’t backing down from anyone. With a revamped roster, a focused culture, and a no-nonsense mindset, Elko believes the Aggies are ready to contend on the national stage.
“We believe we can compete with anyone,” Elko said. “It’s not just talk—it’s how we’re approaching every day in the weight room, in meetings, on the practice field. We’re building a team that expects to win.”
Elko, entering his second season as head coach, has made culture and accountability central themes in College Station. After a solid 2024 campaign that showed flashes of promise, the 2025 Aggies are leaning into their potential with confidence. Several returning starters, along with a strong recruiting class and key transfer additions, have raised expectations.
“There’s a different energy in the building,” Elko noted. “Guys are locked in. They know what’s at stake. We’re not trying to just hang around the top—we’re trying to break through.”
