The former Alabama Crimson Tide pitching sensation has been named the first-ever Director of Softball Development at the University of Alabama. With this new role, Fouts joins the Crimson Tide’s executive athletic staff—marking a historic first not only for the softball program but for the university as a whole.
This groundbreaking appointment makes Fouts the first softball legend to hold an executive development title within Alabama’s athletic department, and the first athlete from the program to transition directly into a leadership role of this caliber. Her responsibilities will include enhancing player development, advancing recruiting strategies, mentoring current student-athletes, and contributing to the long-term vision of the softball program she helped elevate to national prominence.
Fouts, a 2021 NFCA National Pitcher of the Year and four-time All-American, left an indelible legacy on the field. Known for her blazing fastball and unmatched intensity, she helped lead Alabama to multiple Women’s College World Series appearances and captivated fans nationwide
