Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have landed their second wide receiver in the 2026 class.
They landed California speedster Vance Spafford first, and now assistant James Coley has landed a commitment from three-star Cartersville (GA) wideout, Brady Marchese.
Another receiver who can really run, Marchese saw his recruitment take off in January and February and made his verbal commitment today during an unofficial visit to Athens.
This fast-rising in-state pass-catcher is coming off a strong junior season this fall where he brought a level of explosion and big-play ability to the Cartersville offense. He’s a sure-handed, shifty wideout who caught 44 passes for 1,051 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was a reliable option all year long who showed the ability to stretch the field and help in the screen and short passing game
He brings a muscular 6-foot-1 185-pound frame and can break tackles after the catch when he’s not flying past them. He’s a big-play wideout who will bring more speed and versatility to the Georgia receiver room in 2026.
Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to build on their impressive 2026 recruiting class with the addition of another dynamic wide receiver. After securing California’s speedy Vance Spafford earlier in the cycle, Smart and his staff, led by assistant coach James Coley, have now landed a commitment from three-star Cartersville (GA) wideout, Brady Marchese.
Marchese, who recently made his verbal commitment during an unofficial visit to Athens, has seen his recruitment skyrocket in recent months. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver has quickly emerged as one of the top prospects in Georgia, thanks to his standout performance during his junior season at Cartersville. Marchese finished the year with 44 catches for 1,051 yards and 11 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make explosive plays and be a consistent target for his offense.
What stands out most about Marchese is his speed and athleticism. He’s known for his ability to stretch the field with his deep-ball prowess but also has the agility and shiftiness to make plays in the short-to-intermediate passing game. His sure hands and ability to create separation from defenders make him a reliable weapon in any offensive scheme, and his muscular frame allows him to break tackles and gain extra yards after the catch.
The Bulldogs’ wide receiver room in 2026 will benefit greatly from Marchese’s versatility. Not only is he a deep threat, but he’s also capable of contributing in the screen game and other quick-hitting passing concepts. His combination of speed, toughness, and playmaking ability will give Georgia’s offensive coordinator more flexibility when designing passing plays.
Marchese’s commitment strengthens Georgia’s already impressive haul in the 2026 class, adding another highly skilled prospect to an offense that continues to evolve under Kirby Smart. With a mix of speed, power, and technical skill, Brady Marchese is a player Georgia fans should be excited to see in action when he arrives in Athens. His commitment also further establishes the Bulldogs as a dominant force in recruiting, especially in the state of Georgia, where they continue to find homegrown talent with big-time potential.
