Anthony Stolarz’s strong performance to begin the season, with a 7-4-2 record in 13 games, has strengthened the Toronto Maple Leafs’ goaltending depth, making him a potential trade candidate.
NHL insider Nick Kypreos discussed this possibility in a column for the Toronto Star, highlighting the growing interest from teams seeking to improve their goaltender rotation. “Many teams are eyeing the Leafs’ depth in net beyond the duo of Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll,” Kypreos noted.
“It’s likely Toronto will trade one of them before the deadline.”
Stolarz, who signed a two-year, $5 million deal in July, has exceeded expectations and is competing with Joseph Woll for the starting position.
