After losing to Alabama and Texas A&M on Saturday, Georgia formally secured its place in its 12th SEC Championship Game. The opponent for the Bulldogs has not yet been determined. Georgia is 4-7 in SEC Championship Games and has won 14 SEC titles since 1942. In 2022, the Bulldogs last recorded a victory in the Championship Game. At 4 p.m., the SEC Championship Game will kick begin. After the Bulldogs defeated then-No. 14 Clemson 34-3 to start the season, this will be Georgia’s second visit to Mercedes-Benz Stadium this year. On Friday, Nov. 29, Georgia will host Georgia Tech. The regular season finale will air on ABC at 7:45 p.m.
WHNT) — A few teams have guaranteed their place in their conference championships following the college football week. One team has guaranteed a spot in the conference games for three of the Power Four conference titles. ESPN reports that after defeating Virginia 33–7 on Saturday, SMU created history by securing their place in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship. SMU has already qualified for the conference game in its inaugural season for the first time in ACC League history.
