After a huge first-round victory, Florida State Soccer is “taking nothing for granted.”
(WCTV) TALLAHASSEE, FL Following a resounding 8-0 victory in their opening NCAA tournament match, in which seven players scored goals, Florida State soccer is attempting to avoid complacency. It was the same thing at the first round game last year. After defeating Morehead 5-0, the Seminoles narrowly defeated Texas A&M 1-0 in the following round. Basically, a high-production offence does not necessarily suggest that it will continue just because it was simple to find goers on Friday. According to sophomore Jordynn Dudley, “we have a lot of leaders on our team and we all constantly remind each other that we have to earn everything and it’s not just going to come to us easy.”
Brian Pensky, the head coach, agreed with her. We discussed a few days ago how UCLA was the defending champion a year ago, but they fell in the first round tonight. Therefore, we don’t take anyone or anything for granted.
