Breaking: Nick Chubb is expected to join the Browns for a top-tier AFC matchup.
Another losing season for the Cleveland Browns could mean the end of an era for both the team and one of its greatest players ever. Returning by running After missing more than 13 months due to a horrific knee injury that needed numerous surgeries and rigorous rehabilitation, Nick Chubb made his football comeback earlier this year.
The team’s problems, both offensively and generally, have somewhat overshadowed his inspirational return, though, as Cleveland is 2-7 and headed for a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL draft. On Saturday, November 16, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox made a prediction that Chubb would leave the team when he becomes a free agent in March of next year, citing the top team in the league as a possible destination.
If the Browns can decide on a competent signal-caller and fix the offensive line, there’s a chance the four-time Pro Bowler may revive his career in Cleveland. However, he will be a free agent in the offseason and might not want to play out his days as part of Cleveland’s impending rebuild, Knox wrote. “Chubb should instead attempt to finish his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes — and, yes, many players may want to do the same.”
