New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton had been floated as a potential trade target for the Pittsburgh Steelers for weeks, but it seems unlikely that he will be traded, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Garafolo says that the Giants would have to be ‘blown away’ to move Slayton at this point. That comes off the heels of a 108-yard performance against the Steelers, who have long had an interest in trading for Slayton.
In a struggling Giants offense, Slayton, 27, has over 400 receiving yards as the WR2 next to Malik Nabers. Slayton is in the final year of his contract, and what constitutes blowing the Giants away is unknown, but it likely means it will cost more than just a standard day-three pick to pry Slayton away from the Giants.
The Auburn product has stayed in the Big Apple since they drafted him in 2019.
