The Jacksonville Jaguars are willing to trade wide receiver Christian Kirk, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Kirk, 27, is generating interest from around the league to acquire his services, and that could certainly be an option for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have continued to sniff around the wide receiver market but have not found a perfect match for their needs just yet.
“Other teams also are eyeing Kirk, whose performance this season in Jacksonville has fallen off compared to past seasons. Should the Jaguars lose Sunday to Green Bay to fall to 2-6, it might make it more likely they would be willing to entertain offers for players such as Kirk,” Schefter wrote.
Schefter also noted that the New York Jets could move Mike Williams but would only do so for the right price. There is momentum inside the Jets building that could keep Williams with the team as depth.
However, the Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers seem to be on the hunt to make the next deal for a wide receiver. Diontae Johnson will not be the move for Pittsburgh, as they can not trade for him according to the NFL league rules after moving him to Carolina back in March.
