Coming into the 2024 NFL season, the Miami Dolphins were one of the teams in the AFC that was thought to be a potential Super Bowl contender, with an offense that could be the best in the league if it started clicking again right out of the gate.
Unfortunately, the season took a turn for the worse in Week 2, with star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa going down with another concussion that has kept him off the field since then.
With Tagovailoa unable to play, the Dolphins haven’t been able to get back on track offensively, resulting in the team losing three of the four games he missed.
Although the prospect of turning things around at this point seems bleak, wide receiver Tyreek Hill is happy to see his friend and teammate back at practice and in line to return to action in Week 8.
“He looked great,” Hill said, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “Me and him connected on a few deep shots today. I missed that. I told him I got to take him and his wife to dinner because I missed him so much. … That [expletive] was so beautiful, that [bleep] almost made me cry … just hearing his voice. The respect I have for him, the respect this whole team has for him …”

With Tagovailoa back, the Dolphins’ morale is bound to change, and they might be able to salvage the season if he can get back to form as one of the best players in the league at his position.
Only time will tell whether Tagovailoa’s eventual return will help a Dolphins team that desperately needs to get back to its winning ways.
