PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, cornerback Cory Trice, and tight end MyCole Pruitt against the Indianapolis Colts, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday.
Highsmith is expected to miss at least two weeks with his groin injury. His target return game would be in Las Vegas against the Raiders, but it could go beyond that.
Trice suffered the hamstring injury on the opening punt of the game. With him out, the Steelers will look to James Pierre and Darius Rush to step up in his place.
Pruitt suffered a knee injury against the Denver Broncos and will remain out this week. This is his second straight missed game. Rodney Williams will see more time in his place.
Running back Jaylen Warren, battling a knee injury, will be limited to start the week, but could play. If he can not play, Cordarrelle Patterson will see more time. Najee Harris, who was in a sling on Monday, seems fine and will be ready to play.
Guard Isaac Seumalo could return this week; however, it will depend on how much he can practice. Spencer Anderson and Mason McCormick will continue to split time if he cannot. Quarterback Russell Wilson will be limited to open the week, but his participation could ramp up later in the week.
