Ravens Cornerback sends Stern Warning to New Steelers’ Linebacker: ‘Better buckle up’
When now Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen jumped from the Baltimore Ravens to the Steelers, he knew there would be some pushback from his former teammates on the other side of the rivalry. That has come to fruition, with Queen getting some friendly warnings throughout the offseason, even though the teams do not play until later in the year.
The latest to do so is Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Earlier in the summer, Humphrey told Queen that the grass might not always be greener on the other side, implying that staying in Baltimore or heading elsewhere would have been better than going to the Steelers.
In his latest warning to Queen, Humphrey told Queen that he better be ready to buckle up this season, especially when the Ravens are on the other side.
“What he doesn’t realize is what he’s done. You better buckle up, pal. Better buckle up,” Humphrey said.
The 24-year-old linebacker inked a three-year deal with the Steelers this March and has only made glowing reviews about what the Steelers organization has done for him over the first few months in the Black and Gold. While players like Humphrey and other Ravens remain friends with Queen, statements like these might be friendly but have some truth when shot across the water. When the Steelers do finally play the Ravens, the emotions will be high right out of the gate for Queen.
