Steelers manager Omar Khan made a terrible statement that might cause his job.
Adam Schefter of ESPN NFL reports suggests that the Chicago Bears may consider hiring a general manager from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ front office. Schefter claims that the Bears have asked for authorization to speak with Oma Khan, the vice president of the Steelers, about the open position.
With their own general manager predicament, it will be intriguing to watch whether the Steelers allow the Bears to interview Khan. Pittsburgh will require a new general manager following the 2022 NFL draft as current GM Kevin Colbert intends to retire. Khan would seem to be the team’s natural successor.
If Khan interviews for this spot, there’s a good chance the rumors that Khan isn’t the guy are true and Pittsburgh is doing right by him by letting him seek a promotion elsewhere.
