Justin Fields Is Traveling Around The World This Offseason
Pittsburgh brought in Russell Wilson on a one-year deal after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but the team also went out and traded for Justin Fields.
Fields was always likely to be traded because the Chicago Bears had the No. 1 overall pick and the right to take Caleb Williams in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fields didn’t do anything wrong to get dealt, but rather Chicago realized that drafting Williams was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Now with the Steelers, Fields is expected to compete with Wilson for the starting gig though the early indication is that Wilson will be the starter under head coach Mike Tomlin.
Normally players like Fields are on vacation at this juncture of the offseason, but instead he’s out traveling the world to share his passion for football via his personal Instagram account.
“Steelers QB Justin Fields is going country to country to share the passion of football with the future generation.”
In the first clip, Fields can be seen acting as the quarterback in a scrimmage with some kids, while in the second video he is shown signing autographs.
It’s quite the gesture for Fields to be using his spare time to connect with fans around the world and spreading his love for football.
However, once training camp begins he’s going to have to earn his snaps and playing time.
