Cameron Sutton, Detroit Lions CB arrested and charged with $57m over domestic abuse
Cameron Sutton, the cornerback for the Detroit Lions, is reportedly wanted in Florida on a domestic abuse complaint including strangling. The sheriff’s office in Hillsborough County, Florida, issued an arrest warrant for Sutton.
Sutton was sought on an aggravated battery domestic violence allegation, according to the Sheriff’s Office, which made the announcement on Wednesday. He is accused of domestic abuse by strangulation.
Sutton has being sought on a charge of domestic violence by strangulation related to an alleged incident that happened on March 7, according to department records, following the issuance of an arrest warrant.
After responding to a complaint at a home in Lutz, Florida, which is close to Tampa, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office claimed that they discovered a lady who had reportedly been beaten; Sutton had left the area.
After thereafter, an arrest warrant for the Lion’s CB Sutton was issued due to his suspected participation in a domestic abuse case, and Florida police have been searching for him for almost two weeks. He is accused with domestic violence by strangulation, a third-degree crime that carries a maximum five-year jail sentence.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Phil Martello, said ESPN on Wednesday that Sutton had not been reached by the police since March 7.
Even on Wednesday, the sheriff’s office asked for help on social media if anybody had seen Sutton.

“This morning, we learned of the continued legal issues surrounding Cam Sutton. We’ll keep an eye on things and won’t be making any further comments for the time being.
According to ESPN, Sutton spent six NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who picked him in the 2017 draft, before joining the Lions last summer.
