Steelers Have a Strong Interest in Georgia State Tackle
It’s obvious that the Pittsburgh Steelers need to bolster their offensive line. The squad is in need of a tackle and a center, and those positions must be filled by the time the club plays in Week 1. The Steelers have first-round alternatives at tackle, but there aren’t many middle-round choices associated with them.
Up until today, when Tony Pauline said that Glover’s positional exercises were aided by assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams. The Steelers’ offensive linemen, Jackson Powers-Johnson and Taliese Fuaga, have already visited Georgia State, Oregon State, and Oregon on their pro day journey. Pat Meyer has already seen both of them at Oregon.
Glover was a late addition to the Senior Bowl roster, but he made an impression during his brief stay in Mobile. Glover, who has a big build, did not attend the NFL Combine but generated a lot of interest due to his performances in the Hula Bowl and Senior Bowl. Additionally, the footage shows a mauler who has the intention of destroying anything in his way. To put it another way, he fits the Steelers’ offensive line goals and culture rather well.
So, it is not a surprise for the Steelers to be interested in Glover. Typically when the team goes after these smaller school players, they almost always send a position coach out there or at the very least, bring them in for a Top-30 visit, so this is the key first step for the Steelers when it comes to landing someone like Glover.
