Russell Wilson Reveals Top Goals with Steelers
But more than anything, Wilson wants to make his time with the Steelers something more than a one-time deal that benefits both parties. He intends to be an NFL quarterback for five to seven more years.
Wilson stated, “I see it as a long-term goal.” “I’m really excited about the prospect of being a part of the Pittsburgh community for a very long time.”
Wilson stated, “This was the place I wanted to be, but I was fortunate to have several teams call.” It’s a great honor, a tradition steeped in history, to wear the black and gold and be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Six awards are contained there. Our purpose is to obtain a seventh.
Wilson’s recent experience with the Denver Broncos should cause the Pittsburgh Steelers to take a second look. Wilson had several difficulties throughout his time at the Mile High City, despite the fact that they signed him as their surefire starter. What then went wrong?
Wilson stated, “I think it all depends on how you look at it.” When things don’t go your way in life, you can often view them as either discouraging or as opportunities for personal development. In my case, I had my lat my first year in Denver. I was pushing through it, experimenting with it. Was that the right thing for me to do? You are aware that you compete daily. What needs to be done needs to be done. Not everything went as planned. I started feeling like myself again this last year. I couldn’t because I felt like myself again rather to simply donning the cleats and going for it.
