Ex Ravens LB Patrick Queen Fights Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin
Patrick Queen, a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, claims that during his first season with the Ravens, he had an incident with Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin.
“This game defines you and makes you a Raven, no matter when you join this organization and they talk about it,” Queen remarked. “You’re not a Raven,” Mike Tomlin yelled at me as I stood on their sideline during my first season. It’s not you, Raven. It’s not meant for you to be there. You do not belong to them. Thus, each and every time I play them there’s something personal.
He’s not one of them, and Queen is no longer a Raven. Queen has agreed to a three-year, $41 million contract with the black and gold.
Queen recorded 133 total tackles, one interception, and 3.5 sacks in the previous campaign. He entered the 2020 NFL Draft with the sixth overall pick in Baltimore, and since then, he has recorded 454 total tackles, four interceptions, and 13.5 sacks.
With their redesigned offense, the Ravens will now have to play the Steelers’ best version of Queen twice a year after he had a career-best season. The Baltimore offensive has a roster of playmakers that includes Derrick Henry, a former running back for the Titans, with terms agreed upon.
