Breaking News: Mason Rudolph ‘Has Indicated’ He’s Made final Decision And Present Serious Issue
Mason Rudolph, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, ‘has suggested’ that he would sign with a different team in free agency, according to insiders with NFL.com.
It seems unlikely that quarterback Mitch Trubisky will rejoin the Pittsburgh Steelers for the next campaign. On February 11, however, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Mike Garafolo reported that Mason Rudolph most likely won’t make a comeback either.
The three NFL insiders stated that after spending six seasons with the team that selected him in the third round of the 2018 draft, Rudolph, who will be a free agency next month, has shown an interest in starting again.
With Rudolph gone and Trubisky cut, the Steelers’ quarterback on the 2024 roster would be none other than Kenny Pickett. Then, Pittsburgh would have to select two new quarterbacks via the draft or free agency.
Tomlin did concede, though, that Rudolph may sign with another company.
During his post-season news conference on January 18, Tomlin stated to the media, “He is a free agent and it is free agency.” We’ll see where that takes us, then.
