Former Steelers WR Lands OC Interview
The Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers player is being considered for a new role.
Pittsburgh The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the first club to schedule an offseason interview with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle-El, the organization said.
Following the Detroit Lions’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, Randle-El’s season came to an end. Soon after, Tampa Bay was the first team to express strong interest in him as their offensive coordinator.
The former Super Bowl winner of the Steelers has been the wide receivers coach for the Lions since 2021. He began his coaching career with Tampa Bay, where he won Super Bowl LV while serving as offensive assistant under Bruce Ariens in 2019–2020.
Randle-El was a member of the Steelers from 2002 to 2005 before making a comeback in 2010. In the last season of his first stunt, he was selected an All-Pro and won the championship in the same year.
Prior to entering the NFL, the team’s second-round selection from Indiana had experience as a wide receiver and quarterback. With that information, he hopes to land his first job as an OC.
