Breaking News: Tension As Two Big Bulls Stars’ Injuries Preclude Potential Trades
Much of the early season chatter across the league involves trade buzz between your Lakers and the Chicago Bulls.
As a team likely looking to rebuild whilst possessing four players with LA ties – ex-Laker Alex Caruso, USC alums Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan, and UCLA product Zach LaVine – the rumors have written themselves.
The idea of LA trading for Zach LaVine is my personal favorite, but when it comes to asking price combined with defensive needs for the Lakers, snagging Alex Caruso seems a bit more logical.
Irrespective of the specifics of a potential deal, however, a big subject to note is that both Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan have suffered foot injuries.
In their 27-point loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, the two Bulls stars went down and were later ruled out for the game.
This can influence their trade values considerably, as depending on the severity, along with if it carries the propensity to be nagging, LA could lose interest in a possible acquisition.
The health of these athletic LA natives is critical to keep an eye out for, as news could drop at any minute that dramatically alters the Lakers’, Bulls’, and DeMar/Zach’s seasons.
