Harry Kane is raving about the player Jurgen Klopp is attempting to recruit for Liverpool for £55 million.
Harry Kane of Bayern Munich has been raving about the form of Leroy Sane, who is reportedly being targeted by Liverpool.
Sane has been an incredible player for Bayern this season, contributing six assists and eight goals in 11 Bundesliga games.
There have been whispers that the 27-year-old may depart the German powerhouses next summer, despite his fantastic form. Sane has been closely associated with Liverpool, who may be searching for a Mohamed Salah successor.
Speaking to Der Rekordmeister via Get German Football News, Kane, who has been playing in equally incredible form, has now explained to the Reds why Sane may be the ideal addition.
The England captain exclaimed, “He has outstanding power and great pace.” “So far this season, Leroy has definitely been our best player. He is outstanding.
“Even in today’s 2-2 draw with Heidenheim, I sensed he was the player who would get us back on track.” With his abilities, he plays such a vital role for us. He helped me out with two assists today as well, which is fantastic. I hope that we continue to communicate.
Kane emphasises sane standard
The more Sane performs well this year, the more he establishes himself as a legitimate Liverpool alternative.
However, the more he persuades the Reds, you would think Bayern would become even more committed to keeping him around.
The former Manchester City player is currently entering his prime at the age of 27. And it is manifesting itself.
Sane is now adding end product—and a lot of it—to his game after previously establishing himself as one of the swiftest and most dangerous forwards in Europe.
He has played in 14 league goals this season, matching Salah’s record for Liverpool.
Though Sane appears to have improved his goal scoring, the Egyptian is still unquestionably the superior goal scorer. If he were to play Mo’s role, perhaps he would score even more.
We simply don’t see how Bayern could allow this to occur, though. While it’s true that they were reluctant to lose Thiago Alcantara to Liverpool in 2020, they had no choice but to acknowledge the Spaniard’s desire to leave. They might be forced to choose if Sane continues to push for the same.
However, sources have already indicated that Leroy is not feeling at all like himself. Bayern would be insane not to battle tooth and nail to keep him at this level of play. He would be a fantastic addition, but it will be challenging for Liverpool.
