Updates on 49ers injuries: Colton McKivitz is not particularly well after rolling his ankle on
Drake Jackson’s recovery will take at least a month.
In order to provide updates on injuries, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan met with the media on Monday afternoon. No serious injuries were reported from Week 10.
Trent Williams, a left tackle, had no problems. Williams wasn’t even close to 100 percent, according to Shanahan, who praised Trent for his “courageous” play against Jacksonville.
Colton McKivitz, a right tackle, was rolled up on. His ankle/knee injury will be noted as day-to-day on the injury report.
Shanahan stated that Chris Foerster, the offensive line coach, does an excellent job of cross-training the backups in the off-season. Matt Pryor, who has served as the team’s primary backup right tackle this season, and Jaylon Moore, who has taken Williams’ place on the left side, are McKivitz’s backup alternatives.
Drake Jackson, an edge rusher, will require at least a month to recover from tendinitis in his knees. Before being put on injured reserve, he had an injection in his knee. The 49ers will assess Jackson’s ability to return this season after a month.
