Harvey Elliott, a midfielder who signed with the Liverpool team as a teenager in 2019, has expressed his surprise at how his move to the club came about.
The 20-year-old England youth international said in an interview with the Liverpool Echo that when he initially heard of interest, he didn’t think his move to Liverpool was actually occurring.
After excelling at Fulham, Elliott, at 16 years old, became the youngest player in Premier League history to appear in a game. The following summer, the wonderkid joined Liverpool.
Elliott, a childhood Red, has grown into one of Liverpool’s most intriguing young players and has demonstrated genuine promise in this new chapter of the team’s history under Jurgen Klopp.
Elliott is expected to establish himself as a mainstay for both Liverpool and the senior England squad; in fact, the playmaker expressed surprise that he would be returning to his childhood club.

Having played regularly for Klopp over the past two years, Elliott, 20, is the third youngest senior player in the team behind Ben Doak and Stefan Bajcetic, making it easy to forget how young he still is.
And since Elliott hasn’t even reached his full potential as a midfielder, being a “Liverpool legend” may be possible given his wealth of Premier League experience.
