Harvey Elliott raves about 23-year-old Liverpool player
Harvey Elliott has complimented Dominik Szoboszlai, a fellow midfielder for Liverpool, for his contributions.
Szoboszlai, who joined Anfield from RB Leipzig in the summer, has become an instant popularity. Slotting smoothly into Jurgen Klopp’s midfield, the Hungarian has even attracted similarities with the great Steven Gerrard.
Elliott also implied that the Liverpool team feels the same way about their new No. 8 in an interview with 90min this week.
The 20-year-old said, “He’s obviously world class and still so young as well.” Along with the other newcomers, hopefully he will be here for a very long time.
“He’s undoubtedly making all the headlines, but everyone has joined the team, adapted in a great way, and shown off their skills.
“Having these players join us always gives us a positive boost.” Taking positions maintains relationships healthy.
Elliott hails Szoboszlai
Though Szoboszlai’s Liverpool career has certainly gotten off to an incredible start, we believe it’s a little early to be making comments of this nature.
Despite his skill, the 23-year-old is not a top-tier player. At least not just yet. The past two games have demonstrated that Dom still has room to grow.
Every football player has bad days occasionally, but Szoboszlai shouldn’t be held too closely to that standard—especially considering how excellent he has been thus far.
Although he has received a lot of plaudits, it is only fair to note that he performed poorly on the road last week against Luton Town and Bournemouth.

Regretfully, it appeared to us that Szoboszlai was beginning to exhibit a tinge of complacency.
Players that exude quality occasionally appear to be letting up in “easier” games like these, as we’ve frequently witnessed with Trent Alexander-Arnold over the years.
That might be a bit harsh, but in both of the road games, Szoboszlai was anything but the daring, valiant man he usually is.
Better performances over the course of the next few games are required for designations such as the one Elliott is bestowing upon him to remain relevant. There is no doubt that Szobo will deliver, as he has so frequently already.
