Andre Trindade, a midfield player for Fluminense, is not on Liverpool’s January shopping list.
After seeing their summer enquiry rejected, the Reds have been heavily linked to a mid-season move for the Brazil international.
Recently This is Anfield reported, that Liverpool have no plans to compete in any potential mid-season competition for Andre, who is rumoured to be coveted by both Arsenal and Fulham.
Judge Klopp and Jorg Schmadtke oversaw a midfield makeover at Liverpool throughout the summer, at which time the 22-year-old’s potential transfer was investigated.
But with Fluminense desperate to keep Andre for the rest of their Copa Libertadores run, they received no optimism that a deal could be made at that moment.
In the end, that choice proved wise, as the midfielder was instrumental in the Brazilian team’s maiden continental triumph.
On November 4, they triumphed over Argentine heavyweights Boca Junior in the competition final in Rio de Janeiro.
But Liverpool was obliged to move on to other targets after that summer’s snub, and Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch signed in their place.
As a result, even though Fluminense was eager to make a transaction in January, there are no preparations for Andre to return.
Anfield insiders are also perplexed by the ongoing connections with a potential resurgence for his services.
