Daniel Sturridge gives his candid assessment of Darwin Nunez’s performance for Liverpool.
Darwin Nunez, a striker for Liverpool, is a threat that Daniel Sturridge has acknowledged.
Nunez has been in the news this week once more, following a string of unsatisfactory misses that may have cost Liverpool two points against Luton Town.
Nevertheless, former Reds striker Sturridge stated as a guest on Sky Sports Premier League last night that even while the 24-year-old might use some work on his finishing, he’s still a “defender’s nightmare.”
When asked if Nunez symbolises Liverpool’s “future,” Sturridge was unambiguous.
“Yes,” the 34-year-old answered. “In my opinion, he attacks with excitement and aggression. A defender’s worst nightmare, he is an exciting player to watch.
He obviously needs to finish better, but it will happen eventually. However, given his skill level, he will have plenty of opportunity to play in games.
Darwin’s verdict is offered by Sturridge
It would be highly recommended that you see Sturridge’s complete analysis of Nunez this morning if you haven’t already.
The Uruguayan’s style of play and possible ways to improve his finishing were insightfully discussed by the former Liverpool striker.
Juergen Klopp might even call the former England striker now that he’s heard Sturridge’s evaluation.
There would be no harm to Liverpool in getting Daniel in to give a few pointers to Nunez.

Sturridge was one of Liverpool’s most effective frontmen ever, despite the fact that injuries eventually cut short his Anfield career.
The Reds’ Champions League winner is swift, tall, powerful, and merciless in front of goal; Nunez has a lot to learn from him.
There shouldn’t be too much negativity against Darwin, though. We all adore him so much because we understand that he’s still a work in progress.
Though his performance on Sunday wasn’t the finest, we wouldn’t be shocked if he did score in the Reds’ next game. Liverpool’s No. 9 is elusive and difficult to contain.
