New San Francisco 49ers defensive end Chase Young made it simple to explain what the move west means for him.
Young told reporters “I’m in the building with the winners” a week after the Washington Commander traded him to the 49ers on October 31.
The former Ohio State star reunited with one of his famous former teammates – 49ers defensive lineman Nick Bosa.
“I’m not angry,” Young said of the trade during a press conference Monday, November 6.
“Nick’s here, he’s always been a big brother to me.
… I came here last week, it’s just the culture, the atmosphere is very different.
I definitely know I’m in the building with the winners.
» Young joins a 49ers organization that has played in three NFC championship games and one Super Bowl appearance in the past four years.
This 49ers team is off to a strong 5-0 start, but the Niners need to right the ship in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars amid a three-game skid.

“Just the players, the mentality in the locker room, the mentality of the coaches, you know, it’s just different,” Young added.
“The same thing happened at Ohio State, where you’re expected to win and it was just like, ‘We’re going to win.

.It’s just that the details of each match, the details of my mission are much more important, so I understand why they won.
