Chase Young Applauds the New Team and Shades the Commanders
The 49ers are currently on a three-game losing streak and may be in a rut, but they may feel somewhat rejuvenated after adding defensive end Chase Young to their roster last week.
Although Young has been performing well since being acquired from the Washington Commanders just before the trade deadline, the team apparently felt he was not adhering to the team’s defensive plan or the fundamentals.
During a news conference, Young claimed that the 49ers organisation had a distinct culture where people are “expected to win.” This may have also been a subliminal jab at the Commanders, according to 49ers on NBCS.
The Commanders haven’t won a Super Bowl in many years; their most recent victory came in 1991, the same season they also failed to make it past the Divisional stage.
Conversely, the Niners, who have advanced to three NFC Championship Games in the previous four seasons, would believe they have a strong chance of doing again this winter, particularly with Young in the lineup.
With five sacks, nine quarterback hits, and six tackles for loss in seven games so far this season, the former Ohio State University Buckeye will strengthen San Francisco’s already formidable front seven.
With Young, Nick Bosa, and Javon Hargrave as its three legitimate pass rushers, the team now has two excellent linebackers in Dre Greenlaw and All-Pro Fred Warner behind them.
This Sunday, the club will return to action as they play host to the fiery Jacksonville Jaguars, who have won five straight games.
