Dominik Szoboszlai’s has hinted that a current partnership with Erling Haaland has the potential to make the Liverpool midfielder unstoppable.
With Haaland and Szoboszlai now playing in the Premier League, the Liverpool midfielder acknowledged to Match of the Day that it would be enjoyable to get back together with his old RB Salzburg teammate at some point.
Both players were integral members of the Salzburg team led by Jesse Marsch that made waves when they played Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League in 2019–20.
After around four years, both Szoboszlai and Haaland have advanced to become elite athletes, and the midfielder for Liverpool now thinks it would be enjoyable to play alongside the Norwegian striker again.
Szoboszlai stated: “Being guys, we had to grow up and learn a lot, which made us incredibly close when we were younger.
It would be a different scenario if we played together right now. That would be excellent.
Together now, Szoboszlai and Haaland may make a dream duo.

During their brief time together in Salzburg, Haaland and Szoboszlai were rather exceptional, so their current reunion may be something crazy.
The Hungarian international has been sweeping the Premier League at Liverpool, and in a parallel universe where Haaland also works at Anfield, the potential for their combined brilliance is immense.
Yes, that kind of idea belongs in Football Manager or FIFA, but there’s a good chance that Szoboszlai and Haaland may eventually cross paths again in Salzburg, where they used to play.
