Ozan Kabak, a former defender for Liverpool, has expressed gratitude for his time on Merseyside.
In the midst of Liverpool’s notorious center-back need in 2021, Kabak signed a loan. The Turkey international performed admirably in his 13 outings, but the Reds cut him loose at the end of the campaign.
Kabak has nonetheless stated on the website of his current employers, Hannover, that he gained a great deal of knowledge from his time at Anfield. particularly from Jurgen Klopp.
The 23-year-old exclaimed, “He [Klopp] is one of the best coaches in the world.” I enjoyed my time at Liverpool for six months and gained a lot of knowledge from Jurgen Klopp.
It’s great to hear from a man who, in our opinion, should have gotten a little better than he did at our club. Ozan, you are always welcome to return to Anfield!
Reds have no regrets for Kabak
It’s good to hear Kabak talk so highly of Klopp and the club, especially after the way his short stint there ended.
Naturally, wearing the red of Liverpool is a luxury for any player, and a career at Anfield is not something that anyone is entitled to.
Ultimately, it was evident to Klopp and his group that Kabak wasn’t exactly the right fit. They were correct to see Ibrahima Konate as the solution to their center-back problems, and that has subsequently been demonstrated.
While Kabak struggled during a spell at Norwich City and is currently mid-table in the Bundesliga with Hoffenhiem, Konate has mostly flourished since joining in 2021.
Nevertheless, Liverpool needed someone to step up, and the Turk deserves praise for doing so.

Kabak, who was only 20 years old at the time, contributed to the Reds’ comeback from a string of six straight home losses to finish third.
Due to injuries, Klopp’s preferred center-back duo at the end of the season was Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips. For what they accomplished that season, the club will always hold the two academy graduates in high regard, but Kabak also merits recognition there.
That 2020–21 season without fans seems like a bad dream, nearly three years later. However, Ozan will undoubtedly always have a particular place in his heart for it.
He deserves a warm welcome from the Kop if he ever makes a comeback to Anfield in his future career as an opposing player. Best wishes, Ozan.
