Mohamed Salah of Liverpool is considered to be Arsenal’s toughest opponent in the Premier League, according to defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.
When asked about the toughest player he has faced in the league, Zinchenko responded with Salah in an interview with the Premier League’s official YouTube channel.
Regarding the Liverpool winger, the former Manchester City star remarked, “I would say Mo Salah, pace, power, an explosive player, he is so dangerous.”
It should come as no surprise that Zinchenko identified Salah—one of the Premier League’s most prolific attackers—as his most dreaded opponent.
Zinchenko has won England’s highest trophy four times in their many meetings over the past six years, which have defied a fight for the Premier League crown.
The 26-year-old is experienced in competing against the best in the world, so it comes as no surprise that Salah is one of Zinchenko’s top picks for the role.
Salah may already be causing Zinchenko anxiety before their Liverpool trip
Given how well the two teams have started the season, Arsenal’s matchup with Liverpool before Christmas could already be seen as a title decider.
Zinchenko, the fullback, might also be afraid of playing against Salah because all the evidence points to Liverpool dominating the Gunners at Anfield.
Zinchenko might struggle on Merseyside once more, and this game could be another to forget because the Egyptian winger has a strong record against the Gunners.
