As Klopp attempts to sign a talent to rival Trent Alexander-Arnold, Anfield surprises
The competition for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries is heating up as the transfer window approaches, and the three Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea are poised to engage. This season has seen a boom in interest in the Dutch international team. According to a Calciomercato source, Chelsea is in the running to sign 27-year-old Dumfries. They won’t be the only team making an attempt to acquire the adaptable winger, though, as Liverpool and Manchester United have also made their eyes on him.
Prior to coming to Inter Milan in the summer of 2021, Dumfries established himself at PSV Eindhoven. There, he accepted the task of stepping into Achraf Hakimi’s shoes. He has recaptured his greatest form with the Italian club, adding six goals in 12 games after a rocky start to the 2022–23 campaign.Chelsea: Premier League teams’ attention has been piqued by Dumfries’ Serie A comeback.
Chelsea: Premier League teams’ interest has increased due to the Dumbfries’ Serie A comeback.Considering James’ history of injuries, Chelsea views Dumfries as a useful asset even though they already have Reece James. Given that Malo Gusto plays full defender for the London team, competition at that position may be advantageous.Manchester United: Nevertheless, Dumbfries is not just a Chelsea target.Manager Erik ten Hag believes that the Dutchman can help Manchester United bolster their right flank. Even with two excellent right-backs, Ten Hag is not happy with their output and is eager to add Dumbfries to his team.
Liverpool is trying to locate him.
Liverpool: In the meantime, Liverpool has been closely monitoring the Dutch international and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s circumstances, since his contract is set to end in 2025. The Reds won’t take action, though, unless Alexander-Arnold’s contract isn’t renewed, which doesn’t appear likely right now.Denzel Dumfries is expected to face intense competition, but the Reds will find him appealing due to his versatility and capacity to fortify the right side.
