Reds supporters have hardly ever seen the 20-year-old youngster, who has enormous admirers in the Liverpool staff.
Calvin Ramsay is still viewed by Liverpool coaches as a player who can eventually make the first team.
Ramsay arrived from Aberdeen last summer and has had a rough ride. The 20-year-old has only made two appearances for Liverpool due to injuries that have halted his development.
In order to gain experience this season, Ramsay was sent on loan to Preston North End even though he was signed for the senior team. But the Scotland international’s ailment returned, and he hasn’t yet made an appearance for his new team.
However, according to the Liverpool ECHO report, things ought to change shortly. They suggest that Ramsay is “on the verge” of making his Preston debut now that he is pursuing a return.
There is still plenty of time for the young right-back to establish himself in the Championship with more than half of the season remaining.
And Liverpool’s coaches anticipate that he will, according to the ECHO. It’s alleged that the coaching staff – as well as Jurgen Klopp – still rate Ramsay extremely highly. When he signed, the young player was supposedly thought to be the ideal full-back for Klopp, and it appears like he is still headed in that direction.
Ramsay is backed by Liverpool
The supporters of both Preston and Liverpool will be hopeful that Ramsay’s most recent injury recovery is now permanent.
You truly have to feel bad for the child; over the previous year and a half, nothing good has happened.
The fact that Ramsay has had opportunities at Liverpool must be the most irritating part about his situation. Trent Alexander-Arnold brought him in as an understudy, and he had plenty of opportunities to play the previous season.
You would think that he would now be confirmed as Klopp’s backup choice for the domestic competitions and the Europa League had he been allowed to play.

In his absence, Conor Bradley has come to the fore, although the Northern Irishman’s own injury troubles have also robbed him of the chance to impress so far.
Should both Bradley and Ramsay get back up to speed in what’s left of the season, it’ll be interesting to see who holds the upper hand next summer.
That’s a battle for the future, though. For now, Ramsay needs to focus on getting fit and getting into the Preston team.
Knowing that he still has the backing of the Liverpool staff, he’ll be desperate to make an impact. Don’t let it slip, Calvin.
