John Lynch and the San Francisco 49ers created a stir with a bombshell transaction prior to the trade deadline.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the 49ers made a blockbuster trade with the Washington Commanders to acquire edge rusher Chase Young as the deadline for trades was drawing near.
The 49ers are reportedly sending a 2024 third round pick to Washington in exchange for the previous top draft pick, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, Young was chosen with the second overall selection pick. Young, who was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2020, has tallied up 14 sacks in 34 games during his Commanders campaign.
The former Ohio State player will give defensive player of the year candidate Nick Bosa a much-needed lift.
