Ever since the 49ers destroyed the Dallas Cowboys 42-10 at Levi’s Stadium in Week 5, they have been losing a lot.
San Francisco’s defeat has been greatly enjoyed by star edge rusher Micah Parsons, who touched on the team’s losing streak in the most recent episode of his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons.”
“It’s always a rise and a fall in the NFL, right?” Says Parsons. You will always be at the top of the mountain at some point. People are curiously humbled by football. This is not to be taken as [just] an example exclusive to San Francisco. In the NFL, these are things that everyone must cope with: the hardships and injuries. The Dallas Cowboys wouldn’t even be able to withstand three straight losses, in my opinion.”
After expressing his disagreement with Brock Purdy’s portion of the blame for San Francisco’s recent problems, Parsons said he thought the 49ers had the perseverance needed to overcome their difficulties.
“It’s not so much Purdy, because a lot of people are saying it’s Purdy,” Parsons stated. “Bashing the quarterback is always simple because, during their victories, everyone would say, ‘Purdy is the greatest.'” All I can say is that San Francisco needs to make a change. They are facing hardship. I firmly believe that the 49ers will make a comeback. They make an amazing team. We shouldn’t, in my opinion, bury them for their three losses in a row. Both life and the 49ers, in my opinion, humbled us.”
The 49ers, who were 5-0 at the beginning of the season, were only able to score 17 points in each of their last three games after stifling Dallas on “Sunday Night Football.”
