Gary Neville immediately asserts Liverpool’s position following Manchester United’s most recent defeat.
Following Manchester United’s most recent Premier League loss, Gary Neville praised Liverpool as a well-run Premier League team.
After the Red Devils’ 3-0 loss to Manchester City, the pundit named-checked the team as one of the six best teams in the Premier League that are managed properly on The Gary Neville Podcast.
Though many Liverpool supporters contend that FSG has caused more harm than good over the years, Neville’s perspective is difficult to ignore when compared to the Glazers at United.
Neville believes Liverpool is as well-run as other elite Premier League teams, and the Manchester giants have not yet been sold despite persistent takeover rumours.
Neville stated: “This club, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Villa, and Brighton, has a cultural thread of negativity and toxicity that goes straight through it and isn’t going away.
“They’re all managed fairly well presently. From the top down, these clubs are well-managed. The football team Manchester United isn’t well-run. And the issue lies with the owners.
Neville’s Liverpool comment is overexaggerated but true
Many Liverpool supporters are aware that FSG could be contributing more to the club’s funding through their own resources, as the club’s owners are by no means the best in the Premier League.
But, it’s clear who has done more for the club over the years when compared to the Glazers at United, with FSG generally making the right choices.
Although Neville’s claim is overblown, it is easy to understand where it came from, considering Liverpool has not spent nearly £1 billion on transfer fees in the last ten years.
