The 20-year-old Liverpool player claims that this season has brought him some wild experiences.
The young player Jarell Quansah of Liverpool has been reflecting on his season opener with the Reds.
Due to his strong performance in the summer friendlies, Quansah has quickly become a fixture in Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans.
The 20-year-old made his senior debut this season by coming off the bench against Newcastle United, after making an impact on Klopp with those preseason outings.
Darwin Nunez scored two goals in the dying minutes to give 10-man Liverpool a 2-1 victory, making it a memorable contest. In an interview with liverpoolfc.com, Quansah reflects on that day and describes it as a “crazy” feeling.
The centre back comments, “It’s crazy, you really can’t put it into words.” “For my family, there are so many happy people who have seen me since I was a small child, taken me to training on half-days, and worked extra hours for me. It’s just an overwhelming feeling.”
Thus, the greatest feeling was definitely being able to repay my family for everything they have done for me with such love. That was the nicest feeling I could have after making my debut.
Quansah remembers his crazy debut
Few supporters would have predicted Quansah’s arrival and his immediate influence before the summer.
The academy defender has a history of being seen as a future option. However, following a half-season loan in League One the previous year, that day didn’t seem particularly near.
Pre-season then began. Quansah demonstrated during the games played in Germany and the Far East that he is prepared to join Liverpool’s first team.
Quansah’s life must have been somewhat of a blur from that point on. Five more appearances have passed since his Newcastle curtain-raiser, including his first Premier League start and his first appearance in Europe.
The England U21 international has so far overcome every obstacle that has been placed in his path.
Tomorrow’s Carabao Cup match, which will take place away at Bournemouth, appears to be Quansah’s fourth start of the season.
Whether this is the beginning of a permanent stay in Klopp’s senior team is still to be determined.
However, there are indications thus far that Quansah’s season may potentially get even more bizarre.
